FAQs
-
What ages can join Kid Creative Club?
Kid Creative Club is open to students in grades 3-5. Projects and instruction are always tailored to meet kids where they are, so beginners feel supported and more advanced students feel challenged.
-
Do kids need prior art or tech experience?
Not at all. Our programs are designed so kids can jump in at any level. We focus on building skills step-by-step, encouraging experimentation, and making sure every student feels confident trying something new.
-
What kinds of projects will my child work on?
Kids explore both traditional art and modern creative technology. They’ll learn Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design and branding projects, Resolume and MadMapper for VJ’ing and projection mapping, Logic Pro X for simple beat making and mixing, the Blackmagic Camera App for 4k cinema camera work, and Premiere Pro / CapCut for editing.
-
How are the programs structured throughout the semester?
Most groups meet twice a week, with a different focus every few weeks. Culinary Arts is the exception, meeting only on Featured Fridays. Every session builds toward a final showcase piece.
-
What is the Culinary Arts portion?
Our Culinary Arts classes let kids get creative in the kitchen. We explore simple, kid-friendly recipes, presentation skills, and the joy of making food from scratch. It’s all about building confidence, creativity, and teamwork through cooking.
-
What skills will my child learn beyond art and technology?
Our programs build communication, collaboration, empathy, and resilience. Kids learn how to respectfully give and receive feedback, manage creative challenges, and express themselves in ways that help them process emotions and build confidence.
-
What is the teacher-to-student ratio?
We keep our classes small with no more than 4 creatives per session, ensuring every child gets individual attention and guidance.
-
Where do classes take place?
All classes are held at my in-home studio space, designed to be safe, welcoming, and inspiring for young creatives.
-
What safety protocols and insurance coverage do you have in place?
We have secure check-in procedures, and parents are notified when their child arrives. Cameras or media projects require explicit parent or guardian permission before sharing work publicly. Kid Creative is fully insured with general liability coverage through Thimble. Certificate of Insurance is available upon request.
-
How do you handle supplies and materials?
There is a one-time materials fee at the start of each semester. We provide all other supplies and equipment. If a project requires something from home, we’ll give parents plenty of notice.
-
Is there a snack break?
Yes. We take a short break mid-class. I provide healthy, nut-free snacks, and parents are welcome to send their own if preferred.
-
What if my child misses a class?
While we can’t offer make-up sessions for missed days, students can catch up during the following class so they don’t fall behind.
-
How do you communicate with parents during the semester?
Parents will receive a monthly email update with class highlights, upcoming projects, and important reminders. For quick questions, email is best: hello@kidcreativeclub.com.

How do I register and secure a spot?
Registration is online and spots are first-come, first-served. Once your form and payment are submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know before the first class.
-
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Full refunds are available if you cancel at least two weeks before the program starts. After that, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
